There is no right or wrong way to use your Worry Cubby.

My son used to write his worries down whenever he needed to – with or without me there.

I know of some families who have made a daily ritual of writing down their child’s worries together - one family does this before school, another before bedtime.

But what can you do when the box is full?

One idea that my family did was look through the worries each week (we did it on a Sunday). If they are still a worry, you can simply put them back in the Worry Cubby.

If they’re no longer a concern – celebrate the win and have the child tear it up and throw it out! This really gives them ultimate control over the issue that used to worry them and is extremely empowering.

You could even do this as often as every day – completely up to you.

I’d love to know how you’ve decided to use your Worry Cubby xx
